Bladder Cancer Canada hosted its bi-annual
Patient Education Conference this spring and
Wellspring was delighted to participate in this
event as an outreach exhibitor. The morning part
of the conference provided attendees, who were
mainly patients and caregivers, with a medical
overview and research updates and explored the
quality of life issues in bladder cancer patients. The
afternoon sessions included break-out interactive
discussions on the treatment, namely radical
Holiday Open House and Lighting Ceremony cystectomies and non-invasive bladder cancer.
Thursday, November 28 , 2013 (GTA Centres) There were also encouraging personal refections

from two bladder cancer survivors.
Participating Wellspring Locations: A very important part of the day involved a
Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House (Halton-Peel) presentation about the Bladder Cancer Canada
Wellspring Chinguacousy Awareness Walk. There are many local walks
Wellspring Downtown Toronto that take place nation-wide. The purpose of
Wellspring Westerkirk House at Sunnybrook the Awareness Walk is to help Bladder Cancer
Canada raise awareness and funds in support
Help decorate the Wellspring Houses this holiday season by sponsoring of its mission to: help bladder cancer patients
a light bulb, wreath or candle! and their support teams address the day-to-day
