Young children and teens are particularly vulnerable to anxiety, stress, behavioural
issues and even regressed development when they are, or a family member is,
diagnosed with cancer. Parents are often concerned and confused about how best
to talk to their children, and for many parents and children, there is a sense of guilt,
overwhelming fear, and worry. Wellspring’s compassionate team of experts provide
counselling to families on a range of topics including emotional and mental health,
communication, family finances, and available resources.
HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
• Provide 175 professional counselling sessions for children and families living with
cancer with your gift of $25,000
• Provide a support group for children and parents for one year with a gift of
$10,000 that will allow 170 visits from families in need
